The Ghana Immigration Service is participating in the 3rd Policy Fair being organized by the Ministry of Information at the International Conference Centre in Accra.
The Fair which is under the theme ‘Building Together In A Better Ghana’ is expected to last for six days and it is aimed at creating a platform for Government Institutions and the Private Sector to interact, showcase and also explain their policies and activities to the general public.
In an address to welcome participating agencies, the Minister of Information, Hon. Fritz Baffour, said he was looking forward to a successful Fair and urged the exhibitors and general public to participate in the various dialogue sessions throughout the period.
In a speech read on behalf of the President by Dr. Christine Amoako Nuamah, a special advisor to the President on policies, stated that the essence of the Fair is to enable the general public see what the Public Sector is doing in terms of development, aside creating an avenue for the government to reach out to the public regarding the policies that drive the Public Sector.
She said, the public is expected to take keen interest in what the Public Sector is doing and where the need arises, contribute and make suggestions.
Other participating security agencies include the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Revenue Authority, NADMO, Narcotics Control Board and the Ministry of Interior as well as other Departments and Agencies.
