CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DONATES TO GIS

The China Chambers of Commerce in Ghana has donated twenty (20) sets of computers and its accessories worth GH¢ 80,000 .00 to the Ghana Immigration Service.

Presenting the items to the Service, the President of the Chamber, Zheng Shengli, said the donation is part of their social responsibility to give back to the society and also in appreciation for the support the Service has extended to the Chamber over the years.

He said the Chamber was set up in order to comply with the economic cooperation within the country, and aims at promoting communication with all sectors of the Ghanaian community.

He assured the Service that the members of the chamber will abide by the rules and regulations of the country and the GIS as far as investment is concern and pledged the support of the Chamber to the Service.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Service, the Board Chairman of the Immigration Counsel, Hon. Cletsu Avoka, was full of appreciation for the gesture and also promised that the items would be put to good use to achieve the purpose for which it was given.

In another development, a Chinese Business man, Tang Hong has also presented twenty (20) motorbikes worth GH¢ 51,000.00 to the Service to aid the Border Patrol Personnel in patrolling the country’s frontiers.
