SERVICE CHARTER
 

 

• All Residence permit holders who may travel abroad for an indeterminate period during which time their residence permit may expire are required to notify the Director of Immigration in writing.

• At the beginning of every year, corporate bodies, educational institutions and individuals with expatriate workers in Ghana should submit their personal details, Immigration status and other relevant information to the GIS headquarters.

• The public should deal directly with designated Immigration Officers and establishment and not middlemen.

•. Clients/Applicants should be courteous and polite to our staff and demand same from them

•. Applicants must demand official receipts and documents for all payment and transaction conducted with the GIS.

                        INFORMATION TRANSPARENCY AND CONVENIENCE

• The GIS will endeavor to provide its clients with the information they need to access our services.

• Information counters will be made available at our Complaints/Client service Unit
• A suggestion box will be placed at our Complaints/Client service Unit to facilitates feedback and improve on the quality of our services

• The GIS will conduct periodic stakeholders conference and the public forums to discuss issues relating to our service delivery

•. Information on rates on visas, permits and passport application can be found in GIS publication at GIS Complaints/Client service Unit and Regional Reception Centres.
